Masjid Ibrahim has licensed clergy to perform weddings at the masjid. The clergy can be requested to visit the wedding halls or homes to perform the religious ceremony. The main requirement for marriages to be solemnized by the Muslim clergy is that the marriage should first be registered with the city. The groom and bride should have two witnesses and both of them should have an agreement about the wedding gift known as mehr or dowry given by the groom to the bride. It could be in cash or in kind. It can be offered at the wedding or later.
Marriage license can be obtained from Civil Marriages Marriage License Bureau 330 South Third Street #660 (702) 671-0577 Opens at 2:00 PM.
After getting your marriage registered at the Bureau, pleasde contact the masjid for an appointment and bring in the papers on the scheduled day.. You will be issued an Islamic marriage certificate with the signature of the clergy performing the marriage.
